ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã Supply chain management software provider i2 selected a former ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã to serve as its new CEO. i2 announced on July 31 (less than two weeks after the company revised downward its full year earnings expectations) that Michael McGrath resigned as the company’s CEO “to pursue other opportunities” and that it had appointed Dr. Pallab K. Chatterjee to replace McGrath. Chatterjee most recently served as i2’s EVP of solutions operations and chief delivery officer. Before joining i2, Chatterjee worked for Texas Instruments, and one of the positions he held there was ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã. On Monday, i2 announced that its chief customer officer, Barbara Stinnett, resigned on July 31, the same day McGrath left. made its acting ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã its official ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã on August 2. Jim Ward‘s appointment to ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã came amidst a company-wide realignment of key executives intended to “streamline operations, strengthen the core intermodal business and increase product integration capabilities across business units,” according to the press release. Ward reports to Mike Uremovich, chairman and CEO of the Concord, Calif.-based logistics provider. His appointment is seen as a way to advance the company’s integration efforts. Before joining Pacer in April 2007, Ward held ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã positions at Inchcape Shipping Services, Norton Lilly International and Clark Steel. Clothing retailer JoS. A Bank gave its ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã and SVP of Operation Gary Merry new responsibilities and a new title of EVP on August 2. In addition to his current duties, Merry is now in charge of store and catalog operations. He takes on these added responsibilities to allow EVP Robert Hensley to focus on JoS. A Bank’s store expansion program. Merry joined the Hampstead, Md.-based company in 2000 and has held a variety of positions since then, including head of store development, distribution and call center. Gary Richardson was named Chemical Bank‘s first ever ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã on Monday, August 6. Richardson joined the Midland, Mich.-based bank holding company from ABN Amro Services Co., where he was the SVP in charge of technology strategy and architecture, technology risk management, software testing, software configuration management, and compliance. joined Blue Coat Systems as its ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã yesterday. He reports to Dave de Simone, SVP of corporate operations. Quinn comes to the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based technology company from Genentech, where he most recently served as vice president of CIT science and business solutions. In that position, he was in charge of building enterprise IT systems and improving business processes. Over the course of his Quinn’s 25-year career in IT, he was vice president and ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã for semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer KLA-Tencor; ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã and VP of operations at Portera; eBay’s ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã and vice president of site operations; and ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã of Sun Microsystems’ computer systems division. Quinn holds a Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and accounting from Baldwin-Wallace College.
