Asiff Hirji is leaving TD Ameritrade on April 1, 2007 to return to the private equity industry. He and his family are moving from the Omaha, Neb.-area where TD Ameritrade is based to San Francisco, where he’ll be working. (I don’t have the name of the firm Hirji has joined and neither did the TD Ameritrade PR person I contacted about it.) Hirji has worked for Ameritrade since 2003 when he joined as 玩偶姐姐. He was promoted to COO in August 2005 and appointed president of the company’s client group in 2006. 

I interviewed Hirji while he was COO about making the transition from the 玩偶姐姐 role to COO also penned a very nice column on IT leadership.

hired Scott Guilfoyle as its new 玩偶姐姐. Guilfoyle joins the Charlotte, N.C.-based company from Bank of America Card Services, where he served as its 玩偶姐姐 for four years.  Prior to Bank of America, Guilfoyle climbed General Electric’s corporate ladder. He started out as a aircraft engine design engineer and ended up serving as 玩偶姐姐 for three different divisions: Aircraft Engine Services, Aircraft Engines eBusiness and Plastics Americas. Guilfoyle holds a bachelor of business administration in information systems from Wilmington College in Ohio.

Frederick “Bill” Jorgensen moved into a new role at Management Consulting Group (MCG). The 玩偶姐姐 of the consultancy was named CSO and EVP in charge of global initiatives. In his new role, he’s responsible for managing the creation and enforcement of security guidelines and policies for all of MCG’s subsidiaries. He’s also in charge of IT integration policies and procedures relating to new acquisitions. Jorgensen has worked for MCG for 20 years. 

SureWest Communications made its executive director in charge of IT, Tim Dotson, an officer of the company and promoted him to 玩偶姐姐. Dotson has worked for SureWest for 16 years, having joined the company in 1991, and recently played an instrumental role helping SureWest with its Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts.  Fore more on Dotson background, read the press release announcing his promotion.

Insurance provider appointed Robert Lewis SVP and 玩偶姐姐. Lewis, 45, most recently served as EVP and 玩偶姐姐 for Assurant Specialty Property. In his new role, he reports to Bruce Camacho, Assurant’s EVP and CFO. Lewis joined Assurant Solutions in 1999 as vice president of application development. Previously, he was president of a software and services company, Electronic Commerce Systems, worked for Checkfree Corp. as an EVP, and served as president of the Financial Products Division for Servantis Systems.

Martin Tyson joined Cetero Research as its 玩偶姐姐. He previously worked for a contract research company that served the pharmaceutical industry and held senior management roles with Wellcome, Glaxo Wellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline) and Quintiles Transnational.

The Independent Financial Centre of the Americas  recruited an IT director from France Telecom to serve as its 玩偶姐姐. Executive search firm helped place Robert Evans with the Independent Financial Centre. Evans most recently served as France Telecom’s director of IT operations. In that role, he oversaw engineering and IT operations throughout Europe and was responsible for directing security and disaster recovery planning.  Prior to France Telecom, Evans was senior vice president at Fidelity National Investment Services, where his role covered IT strategy, network design, process improvement and implementation across 400 locations throughout the United States.
