Íæż½ã½ã.com is pleased to announce that its first-ever blog, Movers & Shakers, will be re-launching this week.

Long-time Íæż½ã½ã contributor Martha Heller will be keeping readers apprised of Íæż½ã½ã job changes on a weekly basis. Heller is intimately familiar with the Íæż½ã½ã role and with IT leaders’ comings and goings: She currently serves as managing director of the IT leadership practice at executive search firm . Before she joined ZRG, Heller worked for CXO Media as an online editor and as the founder of the Íæż½ã½ã Best Practice Exchange, the precursor to the Íæż½ã½ã Executive Council, which she also co-founded.

I can’t think of a better time than right now to re-launch Movers & Shakers. Every day we’re inundated with bad news about the economy: Another company announces a layoff. Another bank needs a bailout. Unemployment and foreclosure rates climb.

But stories about businesses beating the odds and people pursuing lucrative new professional opportunities—stories that give us hope—are few and far between. I hope Movers & Shakers, with its news of Íæż½ã½ãs earning promotions and landing new jobs, will fill some of that void and will reassure you that it is possible to find a job, even in this recession.

If you’ve recently changed jobs or received a promotion, or if you know of an IT leader who’s been hired (or fired), let Heller know. Her e-mail address is mheller at zrgpartners dot com.
