BAE Systems is a modern conglomeration of the aircraft, ship building and military manufacturing of the UK’s past. BAE is the world’s largest military contractor and came into being as BAE in November 1999 through the merger of Marconi Electronic Systems, General Electric Company and British Aerospace.
