Mithilesh Singh is Senior Director [Head – Technology Audit] at IDFC Bank. In his current role, he is heading Technology Audit function and responsible for technology audit assurance of the bank IT environment. As an Information Security & Risk Management leader, he carries over two decades of experience with global program management exposure in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Telecommunications & Technology. He has worked closely with regulators (RBI, HKMA, MAS, FSA, OCC) on formulation and compliance aspects of various Technology & Cyber Security frameworks. He is also associated with Atal Tinkering Lab [NITI Aayog – Govt. Of India] as a Mentor of Change for developing cyber security skills for Indian schools. Mithilesh is well recognized in the industry and has been a very active member of professional bodies as a regular speaker at various industry forums and conferences. RBI mandated all banks operating in India after the payment systems related security incident of a large public sector bank to conduct review of administrative privilege users for systems having financial implications. The objective was to strengthen the payment systems environment security controls. Also RBI mandated the banks to implement this requirement with immediate effect on automated manner to achieve the continuous monitoring objective.
